Bart

Bart is a sweet boy who was found as an abandoned stray with his sister, Lisa. He was only about 3 months old and suffering from malnutrition, worms, parasites, and hair loss. Bart was initially very apprehensive of people, but with the love and care of his foster family, he's made amazing progress! Now, his fur has grown back, and he's healthy and ready for his forever home.

Bart is a shy guy on his own, but when he has a confident canine buddy, his true personality shines through! He absolutely loves other dogs, no matter their size, and plays gently, shares toys, and is wonderfully respectful of their boundaries. He takes his cues from other dogs and is always sleeping nearby or joining in when they get attention. Seeing other dogs trust people helps him feel safe enough to do the same. He is a cuddle bug who sleeps peacefully through the night in bed with his people and doggy companions. Bart is also crate-trained and does great when left alone.

Ideal Home

Bart would thrive in a calm, patient environment with another well-socialized dog who can help him build confidence.

Ongoing Health

Bart is neutered, has received 3 of his first-year puppy vaccines, has been de-wormed, and has started monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.

Training & Support

Bart will require all of his basic training. His housetraining is improving, and he is getting more confident with leash walks.
