Gunner is very food motivated, and his foster family has been working on him staying out of the kitchen and observing the food prep from afar. He is perfectly fine waiting for the family to finish up in the kitchen, while waiting patiently without any barking or fuss. His foster family has watched the sparkle return to his eyes, the pep come back to his step, and his tail wag with growing joy. Gunner is friendly with everyone he meets, gets along well with other dogs, and has that calm, steady presence that makes senior dogs so special. He’s leash trained and house trained, making him an all-around great dog. Relaxing at home? He’ll settle nearby, perfectly content just being close to his people. Gunner also enjoys a good walk and strolls beautifully on leash. He is a wonderful dog who thrives with a little guidance and routine, and in return, you get a loyal, loving best friend.
