Branson James is a 6-year-old, 13-pound Miniature Poodle with the sweetest soul. He was found as a stray and brought to safety by a kind-hearted Samaritan, beginning his journey to a better life. Since arriving in rescue, he has shown everyone what a gentle and loving little dog he is. Branson may be shy and reserved when meeting new people, but once he feels safe, his affectionate personality shines through. He absolutely loves to cuddle and spend quality time with his favorite humans. While he's always happy to accept a tasty treat or a good meal, nothing makes Branson happier than soaking up love and attention from the people he trusts. He seems to enjoy the company of other small dogs with calm, gentle personalities like his own.
Ideal Home
Branson would do best in a quiet, peaceful home with adults or calm older teens who can give him the time and encouragement he needs to blossom into his most confident self. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
Ongoing Health
Branson James is heartworm positive but has already received a ProHeart-12 injection and is currently undergoing treatment. He'll need a recheck in 8 months to ensure he's on the path to full recovery. Adoption fees include up-to-date vaccines, microchip, and spay/neuter.
Training & Support
Branson is currently working on his potty training and leash skills. He has already made wonderful progress, but he'll continue to thrive with consistency, patience, and a predictable routine to help him build confidence and master these important skills.
