Kamoku & Kasumi

Kamoku (14-year-old male Dachshund mix, 17 lbs) and Kasumi (5-year-old female Cairn Terrier mix, 38 lbs, goal weight 22 lbs) were once the pride and joy of their beloved owner, as evidenced by a decade's worth of holiday photo cards. Sadly, when their owner's health declined and she moved into a nursing home, no one in her life stepped up to care for these two sweethearts. They were surrendered to the shelter with their cherished photo cards, a testament to the love they shared.

When separated, Kamoku lost his appetite, and Kasumi cried incessantly. These two are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. When they are together, they are mellow, affectionate, and coexist calmly with other pets. They have lived with cats and dogs and have been described as good with kids.

Kamoku is a senior dog at 14 years old. Kasumi is working towards a goal weight of 22 lbs.
