Murdock is a sweet 2-year-old boy who weighs around 75 pounds. He's a bundle of energy and a huge cuddle bug who loves to be petted and showered with affection. Despite being blind, Murdock navigates his surroundings with impressive agility once he's mapped out his environment, and you might even forget he has a visual impairment! He thoroughly enjoys his walks, both in the neighborhood and at the park, and he knows the "follow" cue, with more useful commands for walks in the works. Murdock also gets along well with other dogs, though he can play a bit rough, so that's something to consider. While he can't eat with other dogs, he's happy to join them in the yard after his meal. He's house-trained and trusted to have free roam of the house when his foster parents are away, as he experiences crate anxiety and dislikes small spaces. Murdock is looking for a special home that understands and is willing to work with his unique needs.
Ideal Home
Murdock needs a home that understands his visual impairment and is willing to provide him with the space and patience he needs to thrive. He cannot be crated and does not like small spaces, so a home that can offer him free roam would be ideal. He enjoys the company of other dogs but can play roughly and cannot eat with other dogs.

Training & Support
Murdock is house-trained and trusted not to have accidents when left alone. He does have crate anxiety and cannot be crated. He is learning new cues for walks.

- The adoption fee is $750 USD, which covers transport, all current vaccinations, neutering/spaying, microchip, and rabies vaccination.
Transporation
This dog is currently located in Houston, Texas. Once your application is approved and the adoption fee is paid, transport will be arranged. We aim to be extra careful to ensure a good fit for both you and the dog, especially for adoptions without a prior meeting.
