DOUGAL

Dougal is a handsome, approximately 2-year-old Sheepadoodle who weighs about 75 lbs. He's a very easy-going and laid-back guy who gets along wonderfully with other rescue dogs. Dougal is so mellow that his foster family often forgets he's around! While he prefers to stay inside and enjoy the air conditioning during the hottest parts of the day, he loves to come out in the cooler late afternoon to play with his buddies, enjoy a chew treat, and enthusiastically chase squirrels. He seems to be pretty well house and leash trained, though he does pull on the leash and would benefit from a strong handler.

Ideal Home

Dougal needs a fully fenced and secure yard to safely explore. He cannot be adopted to a home with children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Dougal previously tested positive for heartworms and has completed his treatment according to the American Heartworm Society's protocols. We typically find that dogs test negative in 4 to 6 months.

Training & Support

Dougal needs a strong handler due to his leash pulling.
