Long legs, soft eyes, and a heart that's still figuring out this big, wide world... this is Cody. He's estimated to be about 5 years old and weighs in at 90 lbs of long-legged, light-footed love. Cody moves through life like a quiet, tender soul, more likely to lean into you for comfort than take up space. When he feels safe, he melts into his people in the sweetest way, gently leaning his body into you – his version of a hug. He may take a little time when meeting new people, and new environments can feel overwhelming for him, so he's looking for someone who understands that trust is something built, not rushed. Give him a calm space and a steady routine, and you'll start to see him settle, soften, and show you the heart that his big frame carries. He's not a high-energy, go-go-go kind of dog; with other dogs, he's more of a "we can coexist peacefully" type. He prefers a calm, respectful dog who gives him space while he adjusts. His foster mom says his favorite playmate is a Great Pyrenees who brings about 3 minutes of bounce before deciding it's nap time, and that's Cody's speed! Cody's version of everyday sweetness? Car rides! He's ready to be your low-key road trip buddy. He also showed us a beautifully respectful side when meeting the foster's cat, approaching with quiet curiosity and composure. Based on what we saw, Cody can absolutely live peacefully in a home with a feline friend, especially one that has the same sense of respect for dogs. Cody is ready for someone who sees past the first impression and into the heart of who he is: a soft, soulful companion with so much love to give.
Ideal Home
Cody would thrive in a home that feels peaceful and predictable. A yard would be a lovely bonus for him to stretch those long legs, but it's not a requirement. What matters most is the energy of the home: calm, patient, and kind.
