Susie is a very gentle, easygoing girl who’s just looking for a calm place to land and someone to love her. She's almost blind, but that doesn’t slow her down much. If there’s a light on, she can find her way toward it, and if not, she happily explores the world by sniffing her way around. She’s quiet, peaceful, and completely harmless. Susie doesn’t bark at all—she doesn’t really have a voice—but she will softly whimper when she needs to go outside. She’s fully housetrained and very well-mannered. She loves her crate and sees it as a cozy, safe place to relax. Most of her day is spent sleeping, resting, and enjoying a calm environment. Susie is friendly with everyone she meets—men, women, and children of all ages—and she doesn’t react to other dogs, birds, or squirrels. She’s gentle at feeding time, takes treats nicely, and never tears up toys or belongings. Outside, she’s content to sit quietly and watch the world go by. She doesn’t have many teeth left, just a few on the bottom, so she eats mostly canned food and does very well with it. She enjoys her meals and has no trouble eating. She doesn’t know tricks, doesn’t pull on a leash, and doesn’t need much excitement—just patience, kindness, and love. If you’re looking for a sweet, quiet companion who asks for very little and gives gentle affection in return, Susie might be the perfect match for you. All she really needs is a soft place to rest and someone who will love her just the way she is.

- Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday.
- On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.
- We’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.

Susie is located at Pawmetto Lifeline. We are able to transport to many surrounding areas. Please inquire for more details.
