Shadow

Shadow is a sweet, medium-sized female Australian Kelpie mix who is about 3 years old. She was rescued as a stray after experiencing abuse as a puppy. She has since had 5 puppies of her own, whom we were able to rescue with her. Shadow is still quite shy and unapproachable, but with gentle patience, we have been able to pet her on her back. She is a quiet, dignified, and gentle soul who will need a special home that understands her past.

Ideal Home

Shadow would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where she can continue to build trust at her own pace. A home with no other pets would be ideal, as her interactions with other animals are unknown.

Ongoing Health

Shadow is a healthy adult dog.

Training & Support

Shadow is still very fearful and needs a patient adopter who can help her overcome her past trauma. She is not yet house-trained or knows any basic commands, but with consistent positive reinforcement, she can learn.
