Penelope is 80 pounds of pure love, and in true golden girl style is extremely affectionate, gentle, and friendly. Penelope enjoys attention from everyone she meets, including adults and kids! She gets along well with other dogs, and while curious about cats initially, is quick to ignore them if the cat isn't interested in engaging with her. Penelope's favorite activities include greeting you at the door with a toy in her mouth and tail wags, chewing on her favorite stuffies, napping on the couch, and getting belly rubs. She loves water and is happy to jump in the tub for a bath. She is also already house trained, and knows some commands like sit and paw. Penelope arrived at PAWS after being found stray, and our vets suspect she had a broken leg at some point in her life, which results in a very slight hitch in her step when she walks and can make her a bit hesitant to walk up and down stairs. Despite this, she navigates the stairs in her foster home like a pro and enjoys activities like fetch!

Penelope prefers to be with her people, and the ideal home would continue to help her polish her training and feel more confident spending time on her own after having some time to adjust.
