Bear is a handsome, one-year-old gentleman with a big presence and an even bigger heart. He's a confident, people-loving boy who approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Weighing around 60 lbs, he's likely a pittie mix, but as with all rescues, his breed and exact age are our best guess. Bear is eager to learn and incredibly responsive, especially since he's motivated by treats, making him a joy to train.
Ideal Home
Bear thrives on human connection and loves to be involved in whatever you're doing, whether it's lounging nearby or soaking up attention. He is house and crate trained. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playfulness. A dog-savvy, confident cat and slow introductions are essential if you have a feline friend.
Ongoing Health
Bear is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Bear is still in his puppy phase and is experiencing many new things for the first time. He needs continued guidance on leash manners, particularly when excited by other dogs, but he does respond well to clear, consistent corrections. While he's social and interested in other dogs, his play style can be a bit too enthusiastic for some. With proper introductions and the right doggy friend, he'll be a wonderful playmate. He enjoys enrichment puzzles, which are great for his mental stimulation.
