Like her rock-and-roll namesake, Janis isn't afraid to let her personality shine! She's friendly with every dog she meets and especially enjoys hanging out with gentle playmates who match her easygoing vibe. Whether she's romping around the yard or lounging with her furry friends, this flower child is happiest when she's surrounded by love. Janis's story didn't start on a concert stage. She and her brother were found abandoned in a park on the outskirts of Houston that is sadly known as a dumping ground for dogs. Thankfully, a kindhearted foster spotted them and brought them to safety. Now Janis is leaving her rough beginnings behind and searching for a forever family where she can finally know what it means to be loved. If you're looking for a sweet pup who will bring good vibes, unconditional love, and a little rock-and-roll spirit into your life, Janis is ready to sing her way straight into your heart. Training & Support
Janis is food-motivated, eager to please, and already potty trained. As with any young pup adjusting to a new home, she may have an occasional accident while learning a new routine. She's still working on her puppy education, including leash walking and basic commands, but she's a smart girl who is ready to learn.

- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
