Chino Love

Meet Chino! He's a charming 4-year-old Maltese with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to share it with. Chino is a sweet boy who's still learning to trust and accept affection, which is why he's seeking a calm and patient home where he can be your one and only. He may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe and secure, he'll blossom into a devoted lap dog who's happiest by your side. Chino's foster family describes him as someone who prefers quiet companionship over boisterous play, often found snuggling with his person. He's also a smart cookie who's treat-motivated (cheese is a big favorite!) and walks nicely on a leash.

Ideal Home

Chino would thrive in a home with a single person or an older adult who has prior dog experience. He needs a quiet environment with consistent love and patience to help him build his confidence. He prefers to be the sole focus of attention and isn't very playful with other dogs, though he lives with small and large dogs in his foster home.

Ongoing Health

Chino is a healthy boy, and his adoption fee covers all vetting, vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, a microchip, and a health certificate for travel.

Training & Support

Chino is treat-motivated and walks well on a leash. He's working on building trust and accepting affection, so consistency and patience are key.

Transporation

Chino is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
