Meet Denim!
This sweet 8-year-old Boxer/German Shepherd mix is a warm ray of sunshine wrapped in a beautiful tan coat with white accents. Denim has spent years perfecting the art of companionship and is ready to share her heart with a new loving family. Her favorite place in the world is right beside her favorite people, offering cuddles, gentle head scratches, and cozy belly rubs. Although she's a mature lady, Denim still has plenty of energy for walks, exploring the neighborhood, and sunbathing in the yard. She is house-trained, crate-trained, microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Denim has completed formal training and knows commands including sit, stay, wait, down, paw, and twirl! She is highly food-motivated and enjoys dental chew toys and car rides. Denim needs a family who appreciates loyal companionship and a best friend who will happily stay by their side through every chapter of life.
Ideal Home
Denim thrives with structure, regular exercise, and positive reinforcement. She would do well in a home with older, respectful children. Because of her history, Denim needs a home without cats or small dogs. She may be compatible with some larger dogs following slow introductions, careful management, and proper supervision.
Ongoing Health
Denim is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Denim has completed formal training and knows many commands. She is highly food-motivated, which can be a great asset in continued training. She has a history of a serious incident involving a small dog that resulted in fatal injuries. Since then, she has participated in professional training and has successfully spent time around compatible dogs in structured environments. She has never shown aggression toward people.
