Bear is a 6-year-old sweetheart looking for his forever home! This handsome boy is approximately 18 lbs and is as sweet as they come. We believe he might be a Bassett mix due to his adorable short stature. Bear loves other dogs of all sizes and gets along wonderfully with them. He has also met kitties and is a friend to them, too! Bear adores children and has plenty of love to give, so he'd be thrilled to have some kids in his life.
A truly unique and endearing quirk about Bear is his absolute obsession with blankets! He always needs one, no matter the weather. You'll see him happily covering himself, then running off to play, only to return for his cozy blanket. He's adorable when he drags his beloved blanket everywhere he goes!
Ideal Home
Bear thrives in a home where he's showered with love. If you have extra blankets, that's a bonus!
Ongoing Health
Bear will be fixed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and dewormed. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.

Bear is house and crate trained.

Transporation
Bear is currently located in Texas. We do not adopt animals out in Texas and instead focus on finding homes in the Central US and on the East Coast. The adoption fee includes transport from Texas to various locations every 2-3 weeks, including: Albany and Latham, NY; Wells and Brattleboro, VT; Willington, New Haven, and Dayville, CT; Port Chester, NY; Dayton and Akron, OH; Grove City and Bloomsburg, PA; Ridgefield and Mt Laurel, NJ; White Marsh/Elkton, MD; and Falls Church, VA. We have successfully placed hundreds of animals through long-distance adoptions and are committed to finding the best fit for each animal.
