Hello there! My name is Shirley, and I'm told my eyes are quite captivating – they can look amber, blue, or green depending on the light! My back paws look like they've been dipped in white paint, and I'm on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you; I'm a mighty little pup! My sister, Laverne, and I were rescued from a tough situation in southern Minnesota. Thankfully, we've been showered with all the comforts of home in our foster family. While I'm not quite perfect yet, I'm working hard on my potty training and am proud to say I know how to ring a bell! I'm also a champion at kennel training and sleep soundly through the night. I'm learning "sit" and "stay," though sometimes my excitement gets the better of me. I'm eager to learn new tricks, especially if there are tasty snacks involved! I live with a wonderful human family, including a 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy who I adore, and I've enjoyed meeting the many little humans who have come my way. I haven't met any cats yet, but I do have two dog siblings: Blanche, a sweet older Pitbull/Boxer mix who enjoys her quiet time, and Stanley, a playful Weimaraner/Pitbull mix who loves puppy energy. I tend to be more dominant with my sister Laverne but more submissive with my resident dog siblings. We love playing together, chasing tennis balls, and tug-of-war! I also love to snuggle up with any dog or human who will let me. I'm a perfect blend of spunk, sass, playfulness, and love, and I especially enjoy cuddling up close to my humans. My dream day would involve a lot of quality time with my favorite person, filled with eating, napping, and playing. I'm a bit like Shirley from the classic TV show – sweet but I know how to stand up for myself when needed. Bones and tennis balls are my favorite toys, but really, any toy is great! I enjoy a good mix of playtime and snoozes – a girl needs her beauty sleep, after all! The sight of my humans or the anticipation of food makes my tail wag uncontrollably, and I might even offer a little bark to hurry things along.
