Meet Tofu! This beautiful little gem is the most perfect little girl looking for her furever family. Tofu is a dedicated velcro dog and would be perfect for someone who is retired or works from home. Once she knows you, she will shadow you for the rest of your life. You will not sleep, brush your teeth, cook, shower, or make any move without a Tofu shadow. She finds comfort in her human and you are where she wants to be. She is an excellent travel companion. She does well on car rides (you will forget she is even there), sits perfectly in a doggy bag or backpack, will ride in a basket on a bike, and is just happy to come along for an adventure. She will walk on a leash, but prefers to be carried or ride in a stroller after she has done her business. She is not very vocal and only barks when someone is at the door or she hears strange noises. Tofu does have a long coat when it is grown out, so she requires frequent brushing and/or grooming. Tofu is 7 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She can be with other dogs, but does not seek to engage with dogs she does not know and prefers her space to be respected. She does like to play, but only with dogs that have a gentle play style that matches hers. Tofu is not suitable for babies or young children under 10 years old. No exceptions. Tofu is also extremely potty trained and has never had an accident inside. She will go in a crate as a safe space, but once she is comfortable in a new environment, she will cry in the crate when she sees you because she wants to be near you. She is completely non-destructive and does not chew on anything she isn't supposed to. Tofu is a very special, loving, devoted little girl who had to leave the only family she has ever known after 7 years. This transition has been rough on her, and we hope she never has to go through this again. We want her next family to be her furever family.
Ideal Home
Tofu would thrive in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. She is not suitable for homes with children under 10 years old.
Ongoing Health
Tofu requires frequent brushing and/or grooming due to her long coat.
Training & Support
Tofu is extremely potty trained and non-destructive. She is comfortable in a crate but prefers to be with her people once settled.
