Zac

Zac is a charming 5-year-old, neutered male Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs around 60 pounds. He was rescued from a county shelter and has quickly become a loyal and loving companion. Zac enjoys a good balance of playful energy and relaxed cuddles, making him a wonderful addition to many homes. He has a sweet, conversational personality, especially when he knows dinner or treats are on the way, and we suspect he might have some Husky in him!

Ideal Home

Zac would thrive in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He enjoys the company of other dogs and seems happiest when he has a canine friend or his people nearby. He has shown no signs of resource guarding. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.

Ongoing Health

Zac underwent FHO surgery on a back leg to correct an injury. He has healed well from the procedure, and no further medical intervention or medications are needed.

Training & Support

Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He enters his crate happily when a treat is offered. His foster suggests he would benefit from continued training to help him refrain from jumping up when excited.

Zac is currently located in San Antonio, Texas. He can be transported to his approved adopter once the adoption process is complete.
