Ellie

My name is Ellie, I am a 2-year-old girl weighing just under 50 lbs. I'm described as petite and adorable in person! My mom was a German Shepherd Dog mix, and while we're not entirely sure about my dad, I show some characteristics of Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd. I'm looking for a new home because my current family is going through some life changes and can no longer provide me with the attention I need to truly thrive. I'm a very smart and well-behaved girl at home. I'm crate-trained but don't require it, and I am fully housebroken. While I've lived with children, I would be happiest in a home without young ones; I do well with kids aged 10 and up. I currently live with two other dogs, and it's mostly harmonious, though one of them can be a bit of a bully. I believe I would truly blossom as an only dog, soaking up all the individual attention! My active mind, characteristic of my Shepherd heritage, means I would love an active person or family to go on hikes and adventures with, and engage in training. I learn very quickly – I can pick up new things in a flash! I already know a long list of basic commands and earned my Canine Good Citizen Certification. Walks are a favorite activity, and I'd love to go on more than I currently do. I need a patient, kind, and attentive person or family who can help me shine. A fenced-in yard would be a wonderful bonus.
