Meet Victor!
Victor is a one-year-old, 20-pound mixed-breed sweetheart with the cutest little fox-like face. He might have been labeled a Chihuahua mix, but he looks more like a tiny German Shepherd to us, though mostly he just looks like an adorable little fox! Victor is a sweet, gentle boy who can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but give him a few days and his playful, goofy personality starts to shine. He loves toys, enjoys romping around with other dogs his size, and has been an absolute potty-training superstar in his foster home with zero accidents. One word of warning, though: hide your Crocs and flip-flops—Victor is a certified footwear thief! Victor came to us from Texas after a rough start in life. He was hit by a car and unfortunately didn't receive treatment at the time, so his spine healed on its own. The amazing part is that Victor has made a remarkable recovery. He walks, runs, plays, and zooms around just like any other young dog. He does have a slight hunchback, which inspired his name—Victor, after Victor Hugo, the author of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Ideal Home
Victor would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. He isn't an escape risk and walks beautifully on a leash, but passing cars can still make him nervous after his accident. A fenced yard gives him a safe place to run, play, and build confidence without the stress of nearby traffic.
Ongoing Health
Victor has a condition called paraphimosis, which means his penis tends to remain partially exposed. He has already undergone corrective surgery, and while it may always be a little visible, it doesn't cause him any pain or affect his quality of life. He's completely happy, healthy, and blissfully unaware that he's a little different! If desired, he can comfortably wear a belly band, sweater, or shirt to keep the area protected. Victor is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and monthly preventatives.
