Bear is a handsome, confident, and people-loving guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's estimated to be just over one year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While we suspect he's a pittie mix, his breed and exact age are our best guess. Bear is eager to learn and highly responsive, especially with his love for treats, making him a wonderful candidate for training. He truly shines when it comes to his people skills, soaking up attention and happily participating in whatever you're doing. Bear is already house and crate trained, and enjoys lounging. He's active and engaged without being hyper, and will thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are a great way to keep his brain busy.
Ideal Home
Bear would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his size or playfulness. He has shown signs that he could live peacefully with a feline friend, but this would require a dog-savvy, confident cat and slow introductions.
Ongoing Health
Bear is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Bear is still in his puppy phase, so he'll need continued guidance. On leash, he's learning to contain his excitement when he sees other dogs, but he does respond well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. With other dogs, he can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic in play, but he learns to be respectful once he gets to know them.
