Fray

Fray is a spirited 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who came to us through surrender after being found as a stray. She was a bit shy upon arrival but has been blossoming and gaining confidence every day. Fray has shown she can do well with a larger, resident dog and has experience living with other dogs previously. When meeting new canine friends, she can get a little too excited, so slow and proper introductions are key to her success. Inside, Fray is happy to relax in her crate or watch the world go by from a window. She's very friendly with people and adores children. She's made fantastic progress with basic training since being back with us and is eager to learn, especially when treats are involved. Fray is an athletic girl who loves to play and is even learning to catch a frisbee! She can be a bit rough when playing, so a playful canine companion would need to be okay with some wrestling. Fray is a chaser by nature and will enthusiastically pursue rabbits, squirrels, and even the occasional frog. She loves to give and receive affection but is also independent and doesn't need to be constantly by your side. She's a light eater and takes her treats gently.

Fray is learning to manage her excitement when meeting new dogs, and slow introductions are essential. She is a chaser and has a strong prey drive for small animals. She's eager to learn and motivated by treats, making training a rewarding experience.
