Meet Rio!

Rio is a beautiful young Shepherd mix, estimated to be born around May 1, 2025. She currently weighs about 30 pounds and is expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. Rescued from an abandoned home in Texas, Rio is a resilient, friendly, and gentle soul who's ready to become a cherished companion. She's smart, eager to please, and full of potential, blossoming into an affectionate and loyal pup. Rio would love an active person or family to share life's adventures with.

Ideal Home

Rio would do best in a home with children 10 years and older.

Rio is a healthy, growing pup.

Training & Support

Rio is doing wonderfully with her house training and is already crate trained. She's a quick learner, even working on ringing a bell to signal when she needs to go outside! She's learning her leash manners and would benefit from a family excited to continue her training and growth.

Transporation

Rio is currently being fostered in Massachusetts and transportation to her forever home can be coordinated by our rescue, even for out-of-state adoptions.
