Callie

Callie is a petite, energetic, and peppy girl who is approximately 2 years old and weighs around 31 lbs. She might be a Texas Heeler or definitely a cattle dog mix, possessing that classic herding dog personality! Callie is communicative about her potty needs and willingly crates for meals and at night. She's a biddable and food-motivated pup who has been introduced to markers and basic training. She's loving and cuddly, but can be a bit flighty, so a fenced yard would be a great asset for her. Callie is neutral to delivery vehicles, outdoor cats, and horses, making her a versatile companion for an active family, a hiking partner, or a sporting dog.

Ideal Home

Callie would thrive in an active home environment. A fenced yard is recommended for her adventurous spirit. She is good with dogs and children, and while she's great with her foster brother, she is leash reactive towards unfamiliar dogs and will need continued counter-conditioning and socialization.

Ongoing Health

Callie is spayed, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives. She is currently taking antibiotics for a positive Lyme 4DX result from her time in the South.

Training & Support

Callie may chew if bored and can sometimes offer a jumpy greeting. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will help her manage these behaviors. She is already introduced to basic training and marker signals.
