Lyra

Lyra is a delightful 4-year-old, 40-pound dog brimming with a zest for life and energy to spare! She was found as a stray and has quickly shown us how affectionate she is with people she knows, and she also enjoys meeting new friends. Lyra appears to be housetrained, knows some basic commands, and absolutely loves toys and playtime.

Ideal Home

Lyra is looking for an active adopter who can provide plenty of exercise, consistency, and continued training. Because she's still learning that not every moment has to be exciting and can be strong and enthusiastic when heading out on an adventure, an adopter experienced with energetic dogs would be a great fit.

Ongoing Health

Lyra is a healthy adult dog who has been spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Lyra is new to regular leash walks and can be strong and enthusiastic. She sometimes reacts to barriers and other dogs she sees when in a high-stimulus environment like the shelter. Continued positive reinforcement training and exposure to new experiences in a calm manner will help her build confidence.
