About Triton

Triton arrived as a stray with a unique gait and a coat full of mats. Fortunately, a kind rescuer took him in, cleaned him up, and discovered his special walk is due to a birth defect where both of his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. Despite this, Triton gets around well on his feet. Due to wear and tear on his knees, he already has arthritis and is on daily anti-inflammatories. While he may need a wheelchair down the road, he's quite mobile on his own for now and the foreseeable future. Triton isn't a fan of long walks, but he absolutely adores belly rubs and loves to be with his people. He's a mellow fellow with occasional bursts of playful excitement. Dinner is his favorite time of day! Triton enjoys toys but has a habit of eating them, so stuffed toys are a no-go. However, he's perfectly happy with a good chew bone. Could you offer Triton a loving home?

Ideal Home

Triton would thrive in a home where he can be close to his people. He'd do best in a home without stuffed toys, but enjoys chew bones.

Ongoing Health

Triton has a birth defect causing curved femurs and outward-turning knees, which has led to arthritis. He is currently on daily anti-inflammatories. A wheelchair may be needed in the future.

Training & Support

Triton enjoys playtime but tends to eat stuffed toys, so these should be avoided. He loves chew bones.
