Pancake - Breakfast Litter

Pancake and his siblings, the Breakfast Litter, were surrendered by an Amish breeder who could no longer care for them. Pancake is the largest of the litter, born around January 1st. He was briefly adopted but showed signs of reactivity, including barking, growling, and retreating, which we believe stemmed from the stress of a new environment combined with a fear period and genetic predisposition. Pancake is currently undergoing specialized training to help him decompress, self-regulate, and build confidence in new situations. He is not yet available for adoption, but we are happy to share details about his training progress with interested individuals and work with his trainer to create a plan for his adoption at a pace that suits him.

Ideal Home

Pancake would thrive in a home with other older, confident dogs who can serve as positive role models. He does chase cats, so a home without feline companions is recommended.

No specific health conditions are noted beyond his behavioral needs.

Training & Support

Pancake is actively working with a professional trainer to address his reactivity and build confidence. He is learning to manage stress and improve his comfort in new environments and when meeting new people. Continued positive reinforcement and a patient approach will be key to his success.
