Meet Lucky – A Loyal Old Soul Looking for His Second Chance

Lucky is an 8-year-old, ~90 lb bully/husky mix who has been at the Prairie Band Dog Ranch for quite some time now… and he’s still waiting. Waiting for someone to see him, believe in him, and take a chance on him. He has so much love left to give and has had a home before, meaning he knows what it means to bond deeply with his person. He is loyal, devoted, and naturally protective of his home and the people he loves. While he takes that role seriously, underneath that strong exterior is a total love bug who melts for attention, especially those good side scratches. Lucky is great with kids, affectionate, people-loving, smart, and responsive. Walks are improving more and more every day. He also has something really special—a dedicated helper who has been consistently working with him, advocating for him, and pouring love into him. Because of that, he has come so far. He’s learning, growing, and showing just how good of a dog he truly is.

Ideal Home

Lucky would do best in a home that can give him structure, patience, and the chance he’s been waiting for. He may take a little time to adjust, but once he does, you’ll have a fiercely loyal companion for life. He only has an issue with male dogs, but he has always loved playing with any female dog we have had.

Ongoing Health

Lucky is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Walks are improving more and more every day. He is learning and growing with the help of a dedicated helper.
