Velvet

Velvet is a super sweet, low-energy female Cane Corso who is approximately 2 years old. She was found as a suspected dumped dog at a large regional park, and we can't imagine why! Velvet is awesome – she's very low-key, gentle, and quietly curious. She's a "velcro dog" who wants to be right with you and observe what you're doing. Velvet is good with dogs and children. She showed no reaction to a hissing cat in a kennel, but has barked at cats from afar, so she may be okay with cats with proper integration. She has no separation anxiety and is potty pad trained.

Ideal Home

Velvet needs a confident leader who will continue to expose her to the outside world, new people, and other pups to help her build confidence.

Ongoing Health

Velvet is generally healthy.

Training & Support

If bored, Velvet may chew shoes, so basic household rules and proper training with toys will need to be established for when she is alone. She has not damaged any furniture. She is smart, wants to please, and will be easy to train with consistency. She is good on a leash but can be hesitant with new things due to being underexposed. She is improving quickly as she gains confidence and learns to trust that you are leading her in the right direction. She is good in a car and is improving on entering upon command.
