Juniper, affectionately known as Juni, is an adorable 3-year-old, 30-pound Poodle who is as precious as they come. With her sweet face and gentle nature, it's impossible not to root for this special girl. Juni came to us from a shelter in Alabama after being confiscated from a breeder along with several other dogs. Based on her background, we believe she has likely never lived in a home before and is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Juni is one of the shyest dogs in our doodle group and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Because she gains confidence from other dogs, she will require a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes. A securely fenced yard is also a must to keep her safe as she adjusts to her new life. While Juni is timid with people, she enjoys the company of other dogs and does well with the dogs in her playgroup. She is happiest when she can leave her pen and spend time playing and exploring, whether that's indoors with her canine friends or outside enjoying the fresh air. Watching her confidence grow in those moments is truly heartwarming. We have not yet introduced Juni to walks on a leash, so her future family should be prepared to help her learn this skill at her own pace. If you are considering adopting Juniper, we strongly encourage you to read our breeder-release article on our resources page. Understanding the unique challenges and rewards of welcoming a breeder-release dog into your home will help set both you and Juni up for success. Juni may be shy, but beneath that timid exterior is a sweet, deserving dog who is ready for a brighter future. With patience, understanding, a canine role model, and lots of love, we know she has the potential to blossom into an amazing companion. Could you be the one to help Juniper discover how wonderful life as a beloved family member can be?
