Hi there! I'm Mesa, a super playful pup with adorable white mitten paws, floppy ears, and a fluffy tail that wags with excitement! When I get going, I love to hop around like a bunny, especially with my favorite toys. Sometimes I get the zoomies and can't help but race around the kitchen and living room! I'm originally from New Mexico and made the journey to Minnesota to find my loving forever family. My mom is a pit bull mix and my dad is a boxer.
Ideal Home
I'd love a home with a big yard to run and play in, and I'd be thrilled to have some fur-siblings to share my adventures with. I also really enjoy the company of children!
Ongoing Health
I'm a healthy pup, but I'm still learning to navigate my social interactions. While I haven't met any cats yet, I do live with three dogs. I can be a bit dominant when I'm scared, but I'm submissive when I feel comfortable. One of my canine housemates doesn't appreciate me getting too close to her face, but she usually just walks away.
Training & Support
I'm doing great with potty training and even use the bells on the door to let my foster parents know when I need to go out! I'm working on my kennel manners by playing fun kennel games, and I sleep in my kennel in my foster parents' bedroom at night. I've already mastered "sit" and I'm learning "stay," "place," "come," and "down." I'm also focusing on my recall, impulse control, and focus. My biggest motivators are treats and toys, so training is a blast! I love walks with my friends and playing tag. My dream day would be filled with toys and friends to play with me! I'm a lot like Air Bud – I love to jump, I'm easy to train, and I can be respectful. My favorite toys are my stuffies and hard chew toys, especially my kangaroo and my little raccoon with the crinkly tail. While I love to play all day, I also enjoy a good snuggle once in a while. Playing with friends is what makes my body wiggle and my tail wag harder than anything!
