David

David is a handsome 3-year-old black Lab mix. He came to us with his brother, Andrew, after their owner passed away. David had never been off the farm, socialized, or leash trained before arriving at the shelter. He was understandably overwhelmed at first, but has never shown any hint of aggression. When nervous, he'll run in circles, and if he feels cornered, he'll simply sit, lower his head, and shut down. We've seen the wonderful dog that lives inside him, and now he's looking for a forever home that can offer him the time, patience, and love he needs to blossom into the loving family member we know he can be.

Ideal Home

David would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard with at least a 5-foot fence, or other accommodations to ensure he can be safely kept at home.

Ongoing Health

David is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

David will need patience and consistent training to help him gain confidence and learn new skills, including leash walking.
