Maia Grace is a 2-year-old, 43lb female Siberian Husky mix with striking brindle and white fur and beautiful blue eyes. She's a rescue with a resilient past, having been saved along with her sisters after her mother was abandoned. Maia Grace is incredibly sociable, affectionate, and loves to run. She would make a fantastic hiking or running companion! She knows commands like "sit," "crate," "heel," and "come," but like many Huskies, she has a stubborn streak and selective hearing, choosing to "come" when she feels like it. Maia Grace is the alpha of her current pack and loves to play, especially with dogs her own size or larger, though she can be a bit too boisterous for puppies and smaller dogs.
Ideal Home
Maia Grace would thrive in a home with a yard where she can explore and run. She's accustomed to living with other dogs and would likely do well with a canine companion, especially if someone is home during the day. She needs a home where she can be active and adventurous. Due to her breed and tendency to chase, she is not suited for an apartment or a home without a yard, and she is not recommended for homes with cats. Her adventurous spirit also makes her a flight risk, so a securely fenced yard is a must. While she's generally good with adults, it's probably best for her to be in a home with older children.
Ongoing Health
Maia Grace is spayed and has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Maia Grace is house-trained and crate-trained, happily sleeping in her crate at night. While she is not destructive with her older blanket, she does tend to tear up her dog beds and stuffed toys. She knows several commands but can be a bit independent with her recall.
