Arthur is a charming 5-year-old, 78-pound neutered Staffordshire Terrier/Retriever mix who's ready to bring his big personality and even bigger heart into your life! He's the ideal blend of adventure buddy and snuggle enthusiast, currently thriving in a foster home in Houston, Texas. Arthur was found as a stray and was brought to us by a kind foster who saw his wonderful potential. He approaches each day with infectious enthusiasm, enjoying playtime, exploring new sights and smells, and cherishing time with his favorite people.
Ideal Home
Arthur would love a home that can offer regular exercise, a good dose of structure, and plenty of opportunities to be a central part of the family. While he doesn't strictly need another dog, he would truly flourish in a household that enjoys including their canine companion in all of life's adventures. Due to his size and exuberance, a family that understands his energetic nature and can manage enthusiastic play, especially around very small children, would be best.
Ongoing Health
Arthur is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.
Training & Support
Arthur is a pro at being house-trained and crate-trained, settling in nicely for extended periods. He’s also a fantastic traveler and absolutely adores car rides – just mentioning "car ride" will get his full attention! He may initially pull on the leash during walks but quickly settles into a good rhythm. Arthur's curiosity around cats and pot-bellied pigs is evident, but he shows no aggression, though proper introductions and supervision are always recommended.
