Dakota

Dakota is a magnificent, five-year-old, 76-pound, male German Shepherd looking for a loving guardian. He was purchased from a breeder in Arizona, but his human left him behind with a roommate and never returned for him. Despite his past, Dakota is a loyal and loving dog who adores walks, playing fetch, and squeaky toys. He’s also a big fan of bones and his people!

Ideal Home

Dakota would thrive in a home where he can be your one and only canine companion, as he is dog-reactive due to never having been socialized with other dogs. He has never lived with children, so a home without them would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Dakota is very healthy! He is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations (rabies, distemper, leptospirosis, and bordetella), has had a fecal and heartworm test, is micro-chipped, and is on monthly heartworm preventative. He even recently had bloodwork done.

Training & Support

Dakota is housebroken and crate-trained. He readily goes into his crate on command and has been trained to stay off furniture and the bed, happily sleeping on the carpet at the foot of his foster dad’s bed. He is also good in the car and does not experience car sickness.
