Meet Malouk, a distinguished gentleman of 12 years and 85 lbs, a German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws. Malouk is a gentle soul looking for a quiet retirement filled with love and companionship. He came to us after experiencing a loss, and though he received some care, he deserves a home where he can truly be cherished.

Malouk navigates the world with resilience, being blind but still finding joy in walks, naps, and, of course, treats! He has moments of playful spirit that will surely melt your heart. He's incredibly friendly with people and has a soft spot for children, making him a wonderful addition to a family.

Ideal Home

Malouk would thrive in a calm and low-key environment where he feels safe and settled. He's happy to be the only pet, but he can also coexist with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand his needs.

Ongoing Health

Malouk is blind, which can sometimes lead to anxiety. He is doing well with calming medication and benefits greatly from a consistent routine.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained but may occasionally mark indoors. Belly bands have been effective. He's also working on his leash manners, as he can pull when excited or uncertain. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while home alone.

Transporation

Malouk is located in Texas. We offer local and out-of-state adoptions and can coordinate safe transport. We also offer video meet-and-greets to ensure a perfect match.
