Ivan is all about embracing life with enthusiastic wiggles, silly charm, and a sweet, squishy demeanor. He's a toy connoisseur, a water-loving sprinkler enthusiast, and a proud player of fetch (though he may occasionally decide to keep the ball!). Ivan quickly warms up and transforms from a cool cat to a cuddle bug, melting into his favorite humans for belly rubs and snuggles. He's treat-motivated and eager to learn, making training a rewarding experience.
Ideal Home
Ivan would thrive in a home with a medium-energy female dog who enjoys playtime but can also set boundaries. He needs a feline-free environment as he views cats as fun chasing targets. While he's gentle and loving with humans, a home with older children who can handle his enthusiastic zoomies would be ideal, as he can sometimes be a bit much for very young children. He'll do best in a home with a yard to play in, an active adopter, and someone who enjoys training and play, providing clear boundaries and routine.

Training & Support
Ivan LOVES other dogs and is a great playmate, but he's still learning to read social cues perfectly. He can be a bit overwhelming for mellower or insecure dogs due to his bouncy nature. He responds well to guidance from his people or other dogs when he gets too excited, happily taking breaks and checking in. He’s treat-motivated and eager to learn, making him a joy to train.

Ivan is currently located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pick up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT). You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
