Holly (AP26-85)

Meet Holly, a 10-year-old, 9-pound Miniature Poodle with a soft, gentle presence and a quiet, easygoing nature. Holly is shy and timid, and she prefers the comfort of lounging on her bed where she feels safe and relaxed. She does well with other dogs and gets along especially well with calmer canine companions who respect her space and help create a steady, reassuring environment. Holly may do best with a canine companion in the home to help her feel more secure as she continues to build confidence.

Ideal Home

Holly is looking for a calm, patient home where she can rest, recover, and slowly build up her strength and bravery at her own pace. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs.

Ongoing Health

Holly is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and will require ongoing care and return trips to the clinic.

Training & Support

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience.
