Shetland (Photos 10/28/2025) (In Foster Care: Available for Adoption)

Shetland is a beautiful 4-year-old+ female Mastiff mix who was found as a stray in Washington County, Ohio. She is a true "gentle giant" weighing 79 lbs and has a striking tan coat with a broad muzzle and soulful brown eyes. Shetland walks fairly well on a leash and has a wonderfully unique "howl" that is surprisingly melodic!

Ideal Home

Shetland would thrive in a home that can provide her with plenty of love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Shetland appears to be hearing and possibly vision-impaired. She will be spayed before her adoption is finalized.

Training & Support

While Shetland walks well on a leash, continued positive reinforcement will help her settle in. Her foster family can provide insight into her specific needs.
