Nala is an 8-year-old, spayed female Shepherd/Retriever mix who weighs 52 pounds. She was found abandoned in Texas and has been incredibly resilient and sweet. Nala's tail has never stopped wagging since she was rescued, and she has a peaceful presence that makes her a joy to have around. She's a wonderful balance of relaxed and fun, with a naturally calm demeanor that still enjoys playful moments.
Ideal Home
Nala would do best in a home that appreciates her calm, loving nature. She would thrive in a family with children of various ages, as she has shown patience and kindness with them. She also enjoys the company of other dogs, especially larger breeds, and has a gentle, submissive play style. While she would enjoy having a canine companion, she would also be content as a solo dog, soaking up all the love.

Training & Support
Nala is fully house-trained and crate-trained, resting comfortably in her crate for several hours during the day and overnight. She walks nicely on leash with a calm pace, though she may occasionally need a little encouragement to keep moving. Nala has good manners around food, though she may prefer some space while eating, especially around unfamiliar dogs. She has shown no issues with people around her food or toy guarding behaviors.

Transportation
Nala is currently located in Houston, Texas, and can be transported to a city near you once approved. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
