Dinah is a gentle soul who brings a sense of comfort and calm to everyone she meets. At a little over a year old and 63 lbs, this beautiful Rottweiler/Shepherd mix is still discovering the world, and her playful, affectionate personality grows each day. She absolutely adores gentle affection, melts for belly rubs, and forms deep, meaningful connections. Dinah is people-oriented, craving soft affection, patient reassurance, and gentle connection. She blossoms when she realizes nobody expects anything from her except simply being herself. Dinah has a wonderfully soft mouth when taking treats and is an incredibly sensitive, thoughtful dog.
Ideal Home
Dinah would do best in a calm home with older kids or adults who understand shy dogs and the beauty of letting trust build slowly. She is not recommended for homes with cats or very small dogs, as fast movement and busy environments can initially overwhelm her.
Ongoing Health
Dinah has no known ongoing health conditions.
Training & Support
Dinah initially needed a little time to settle in and trust other dogs, but once comfortable, she showed appropriate social skills. Pushy dogs can overwhelm her, though she gives fair, controlled corrections when needed. She would likely do best with respectful, socially savvy dogs, especially calm or playful medium to large dogs who won't crowd her. While she can be shy in new environments, she is playful and affectionate once she feels secure.
