Gaia would thrive in a home where she can offer her comforting companionship. She has done wonderfully with children as young as 7 years old and is respectful of cats. She enjoys the company of other dogs but prefers a calm, respectful companion over a boisterous playmate.

Training & Support

Gaia is crate trained and has excellent house manners. She walks beautifully on a leash and is adaptable to apartment living or a home with a yard. While she bonds deeply with her people and can be a little sad when they leave, her attachment is not unmanageable. She gravitates towards men and enjoys quiet affection.

Transportation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
