Merida

Hi there! My name is Merida, and I'm a 4-year-old sweetheart with the most unique ears you'll ever see – they stand up, but they're not quite shepherd ears! I'm a Lab-Shepherd mix, and while I can be a little shy in new situations or around certain dogs, once I feel comfortable, I'm a truly wonderful companion. I already know how to sit and walk nicely on a leash, and I'm a super quick learner. One of my volunteers discovered I'm very eager to please and can pick up new tricks in a flash! In fact, I learned "focus" in under 30 minutes, which means I can pay attention to my person for a short period. Treats are my jam – they motivate me way more than toys, and I'm always very polite when accepting them.

Ideal Home

I would thrive in a calmer environment where I can feel safe and secure. I love meeting new people and wouldn't mind if you have lots of friends over, as I adore making new human friends! With proper introductions, I can also do very well with other doggy friends who are my size or larger.
