Meet Gina! This lovely 1-year-old Belgian Malinois mix weighs 56lbs and is ready to find her forever family. Gina had a tough start in life, found abandoned as a puppy and sleeping in a cardboard box by a busy road. Thankfully, a wonderful foster home gave her a second chance, and now she's eager to experience the love and security of a home she can truly call her own.
Ideal Home
Gina would thrive in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She loves toys and will often gather them in her bed, entertaining herself. While she enjoys human attention, she hasn't been around children, but given her tendency to jump when excited and her unknown size, we suggest a home with older, dog-savvy children (10+). She also does best with other dogs, particularly those under 15lbs or over 75lbs, and will need slow introductions to new doggy friends due to a past attack. A cat-free home is recommended as she can be overly enthusiastic with neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health
Gina is a healthy, spayed female.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to eat her treats alone and is currently in the "puppy velociraptor" stage, meaning she'll need guidance on appropriate chewing habits. An adopter who understands the commitment of raising a large, active dog with consistent socialization and positive training will be key to her continued development.
