About Lefou

Meet Lefou! Lefou is a charming 6-month-old shepherd mix, weighing around 42 lbs. He’s a delightful blend of playful energy and calm contentment. Lefou adores his doggy friends and loves to romp and play, but he's also perfectly happy to relax by your side or in his own cozy spot. He's affectionate and will happily seek out cuddles before settling down nearby. This intelligent pup is food-motivated and has been a joy to train, already mastering 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'lay down.' He excels with puzzle toys and enrichment activities, but be sure to keep treats out of reach – he’s a clever cookie! Lefou is fully potty and crate trained, sleeping soundly through the night. He's currently gaining confidence with leash training, and with patience and positive reinforcement, he'll soon be a fantastic walking companion. Lefou is gentle with children and adults but can be initially shy with new people. He'll thrive in a home that understands his need to warm up at his own pace, offering him trust, treats, and continued socialization.

Ideal Home

Lefou would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion his size or larger who can match his energy for wrestling and games. He also needs a family willing to go at his pace when meeting new people, helping him build trust and confidence through positive interactions.

Ongoing Health

Lefou is a healthy pup with no ongoing health concerns noted.

Training & Support

Lefou is a smart and food-motivated learner who already knows several commands. He is fully potty and crate trained. He is currently working on leash training and may be a little nervous around leashes, but he is making progress with consistent, positive reinforcement. Continued socialization is recommended to help him build confidence around new people.
