Channel

Channel is an 8-month-old, 43.6 lb Caramelo Dog with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love to give! She was born into a difficult situation, and after a tragic accident, she was the sole survivor of her litter. Thankfully, she was rescued and brought to safety, where she's been healing, growing, and learning what it means to be cherished. Channel is a playful and affectionate girl who thrives on attention and gentle pets. She gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, men, and women. While she can be a little cautious and protective with new people at first, her loving nature quickly shines through once she feels secure. Channel can also experience some nervousness when left alone, so she'd do best in a home that can offer her plenty of patience, reassurance, and companionship as she continues to build her confidence. After everything she's been through, Channel truly deserves a family that will provide her with the safety, stability, and unconditional love she's always deserved.

Ideal Home

A home with a fenced backyard is preferred. Channel would thrive with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs of rescued animals, including their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a willingness to hire a professional trainer to help this intelligent dog reach her full potential. High tolerance and patience are essential for this rescued puppy.

Ongoing Health

Channel has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccinations, Bordetella vaccination, and deworming. She is microchipped and has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate. She is on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra) for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.

Training & Support

Channel is not house-trained. It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties from past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments and people. Patience, understanding, a safe and loving environment, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries are crucial for building trust and a strong bond.

Applications start by contacting us through Wags.

• Fill out our adoption form.
• Send photos/videos of your home to ensure your future furry friend will be safe.
• If it's a match, we'll contact you for a call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• If approved, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, food, and more.

Transportation

Channel is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery from Mexico to your home. This process includes scheduled trips (3-4 per year with 15-20 adoptions per trip), a contracted transport company that collects pets in Mexico, and comprehensive legal and health documentation, including a USDA Health Certificate. For US adoptions, pets are escorted across the border into Texas. For Canadian adoptions, pets are delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. Adopters will be added to a private Facebook Messenger group for real-time updates on the pet's journey, including photos, videos, feeding and walking schedules, and estimated time of arrival. The transport team will conduct a final home review upon delivery.
