Hi, I’m Jericho—a 3-year-old, 54-pound tan pit bull with a big heart, a quiet nature, and a whole lot of potential in the right hands. I’m gentle in spirit, and I don’t bark at all—people say it’s one of my best qualities. I’m the kind of dog who will even put myself to bed if you leave my kennel door open. I’ve completed a four-week training program, and my foster has continued working closely with my trainer. I’ve learned a lot, but I still need someone who knows what they’re doing. I am not a dog for a first-time dog owner. I need an adopter with real dog experience—someone confident, consistent, and committed to following through on the training I’ve already started. I can be pushy, mouthy, and I’ll jump up on you if you let me. I don’t have door manners yet, and I’ll try to shove my way through if I’m excited. But with structure, I respond beautifully. I’m smart, eager, and I thrive when someone shows me what to do. I love exercise—walks, hikes, puzzle toys, anything that works my brain and body. I’m also a power chewer, so I’ll need plenty of sturdy toys. Nylabones are my absolute favorite.
Ideal Home
I’m great with children, but only older ones—kids 5 and up. Small children and toddlers scare me, and when I’m afraid, I could react. I am a little too curious for cats, so a home with cats is not recommended.
Ongoing Health
I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support

I am currently in Waterloo, SC, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. Please note, there is a transport fee.
