Bear - PYR Bridge Program

Meet Bear – a handsome 4-year-old Great Pyrenees with a fluffy cream-and-black coat and a big personality! Rescued after Hurricane Helene displaced him, Bear has spent the last year happily settled in his foster home. He’s a gentle, sweet boy who adores his people once he feels comfortable. While he can be a bit fearful and barky initially with new people or sudden movements, he's never aggressive – he just needs a little time and patience to reveal his affectionate nature. Bear is great with familiar people and other dogs, and generally has a playful, happy-go-lucky spirit, enjoying zoomies and playtime in the yard.

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a patient, experienced home with a securely fenced yard where he can indulge his love for digging and burn off energy.

Ongoing Health

Bear is up to date on vaccinations (yearly due in May) and is on heartworm prevention. He received a clean bill of health from Banfield Petco.

Training & Support

Bear is potty trained and well-mannered on leash with a harness, showing minimal pulling. He's content to relax while you're away, though he might be tempted by shoes if left unattended.
