A little about them
Meet Simon, a big German Shepherd mix who loves relaxing on the couch and being petted. He is laid-back, loyal, and enjoys chewing on toys.
Ideal Home
Simon would do best with someone who works from home, a family that is home often, or a retired person who enjoys having a loyal companion nearby. He has been good with children, including children as young as 8, but younger children are not recommended because his size could cause accidental knocks. He is good with other dogs, though he does not like sharing his food. He has shown little interest in chickens or goats.
Ongoing Health
Simon was treated for heartworm and should not take long walks or hikes for 6–8 months after treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Simon is potty trained but does not do well in a crate. He is not very eager to leave the house and can become nervous when his collar is grabbed, though he is improving. He does not play fetch but may chew on toys.
