Steven is a 2-year-old, 42-pound bundle of joy looking for his forever home! He's what we affectionately call a "plug-and-play" dog – he settles in wherever he goes like he's always been there. Rescued from a Texas shelter, Steven greets every new person, place, and experience with a wagging tail and an open heart. He truly never meets a stranger and believes everyone is a potential new best friend, from friends and visitors to delivery drivers and the lawn guy. If you're looking for a guard dog, Steven isn't your guy, but if you're seeking a loyal companion who loves the world, he's perfect! Steven is predominantly an Australian Cattle Dog, with perhaps a touch of something special that gave him those irresistible floppy ears that match his sweet personality. He has a wonderful balance of playful energy and easygoing manners. He enjoys toys and is content entertaining himself but is equally happy just hanging out with his people. Steven gets along beautifully with other dogs and shares his space, toys, and attention without any drama. He's the type of dog everyone hopes to find: friendly without being overwhelming, playful without being chaotic, and affectionate without being demanding.
